The First Community Bank employees continued their annual tradition of raising money to support the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Fund raising events included selling luminaries, Relay for Life foot prints, having a jeans day where employees donated $5 to wear their jeans, bake sales,and donations. A total of $405.15 was raised and donated to this worthy cause.
First Community Bank partnered with Courtyard Books to sponsor a booksigning event in behalf of local authors Jack Meister & Erika Wolfe. "The Last Furough: The Letters of Paul Claudius 1943-1944" was co-authored by Jack & Erika based on the letters Erika's father wrote as a German solder during WWII.
